Is it realistic to have a couch reupholstered? I love my couch so much and I’m already beginning to worry that a few years down the road, what if this thing gets irreparably dirty? It has survived 50 years with its bright green velveteen upholstery, I know I won’t be able to part with it. And I’m not okay with slipcovers.

You say couch, I say sofa

I have an unhealthy obsession with furniture, and I’ll share a little of that with you now.  I once watched a Nip/Tuck episode about a potential new partner that had a sexual obsession with furniture.  NO I’m not like that, but I will say it made a little uncomfortable.

Once you get a sofa in a fantastic color, you simply can’t ever consider a beige again (not that I ever really did, but that’s beside the point…) I’m partial to velour, myself.

My couch is a delicious lime green velour.  Purchased from the original owner, who had it under plastic since the 1940s. You may recall seeing it from my Halloween post.
