Join the Atlanta Institute of Stitches & Crafts for an Etsy craft party at Kai Lin Art, a beautiful contemporary art gallery. Surround yourself with beautiful artwork and join us for a super crafty time (food, beverage, making things — hooray)!
We’ve got some great plans for carrying out the theme and want you to be involved, too! What better way to say “wish you were here”, this year’s Etsy party theme, than with something handmade? Invite your friends to join our Etsy party and we’ll guarantee an amazing night!

Craft Party is a global celebration of meeting and making. It’s a time to get to know your neighbors and exercise your creative spirit. Craft Parties take place around the world when communities come together to participate in art, craft, design and DIY in every form. Anyone can organize a Craft Party and anyone can participate — the power is literally in your hands! This year’s theme is Wish You Were Here. We encourage you to work together on projects that reflect your hometown. Think about local and regional crafts, music, style and food; ways to pay tribute to a notable landmark or place; an activity that tells local lore through handmade means; or any creative project that has local flavor. It’s up to you to decide how you showcase the theme at your party — go wild!
Indie Craft Experience was this weekend and Diament Jewelry was my favorite jeweler there — I bought a few things from her and could have easily walked away with more. I can’t take the belt bracelet off!
Julie Ansiau felt creations called “popquilts” are absolutely amazing. I’m amazed. I want all of them. My personal favorite is the Chiclets, I ate so many growing up!
See more here.
Come shop with us today!
Check out these great shots of the Indie Craft Experience Pop-Up Shop inside Criminal Records. The photos were taken by Atlanta Street Fashion (pssst…we’ve teamed up with them for a fashion photo contest, winner gets a $50 gift certificate to the shop!!).
If you’re in Atlanta, support my incredible friends, founders of Indie Craft Experience, and over 50 handcrafters from around the country, at the Pop-up Shop inside Criminal Records, open every day through December 24! I’ll be there some days! Get all of your shopping done in one spot, and they’re sure to be one-of-a-kind treasures.

If you’re in the Atlanta area and love handmade (wedding or not, you’ll surely have a celebration of love at some point!) come out this weekend to Ambient Plus Studio for an awesome new show from Indie Craft Experience, Wedding Day Hooray. Lots of crafty vendors for purchases and inspiration! I’ll be hanging some handmade fabric banners there — tell ya friends!!!
Check out this great write-up about Wedding Day Hooray from Occasions magazine!
Atlanta Bridal Show: Wedding Day Hooray
Little girl’s dress I’m currently working on mass producing for boutique sales and trunk shows in April and May (with another dress as well). Dress form makes the sleeves look a little funny, but close enough.
love, california
love, california makes these gorgeous state pillows in a thick wool felt, firmly stuffed — Thomas and I just bought a Georgia one for a friend’s engagement gift. So beautiful, now I want one for myself!

I sifted through 18 pages of sold orders to try to find a picture of the GA pillow, to no avail. But, I will say it looks an awful lot like Missouri. I bought the pillow at a local boutique handmade store, Young Blood, so maybe love, california cleaned house by sending them all there?
Fortune Cookie Crayons
Upcycled crayon wax shaped into these cute little fortune cookies! I almost think they’re better for most hands, as they’re less likely to break than tiny sticks (yes, I’m an aggressive colorer). I think they’re too pretty to use.

Set of 6 for only $10 from Ivy Lane Designs on Etsy!
