Exclusive glow in the dark Daft Punk Tron posters when you pre-order the soundtrack. Apparently Daft Punk has a cameo in the movie (in addition to creating over 20 tracks, the full soundtrack, for the movie) as DJs (of all things). This makes me very very excited to see this movie. That plus Jeff Bridges.
I got acupuncture this morning as my last activity in Ithaca. I’m completely sold on the healing effects - I’ve felt like I’ve been walking on air all day (even after two flights). Time to rearrange my budget!
Just finished up a jewelry show in Ithaca and had an amazing time. It is so refreshing to get out of the city for some real autumnal air. Enjoying my last couple of days before i return to Atlanta to plan two Halloween parties and a sugar skull making party!
I also made some treat boxes for the guests of our Halloween party (early, yes, but I have a packed couple of weeks left this month). I hand cut all the pieces and glued them onto boxes I bought from Paper Source. I’m going to string twine through the holes to tie them up after I fill them with treats.
Thomas and I (The Hairpin Foundry) were recently hired to do production design for this family’s house in Ansley Park, and decorate their house for the Halloween season. Everyone that passes slows down to take photos, and we almost saw a woman get into an accident because she was swerving after looking at it in slow-mo. We’re still planning for the party which will be on Halloween day - there will be about 400 people at the party! We hung hundreds of feet of spider webbing on the house, with a giant spider perched over the edge of the roof. I made the creatures in the front bushes, too. All in two days!
Yesterday I did some Halloween shopping, which has made me think about Halloween non-stop. I’m pretty obsessed. Yesterday I brainstormed for tricks and treats for the party we’re having here Halloween weekend - makes me want to have one everyday. I bought some pretty paper from Paper Source and am starting on my Halloween cards and invitations. Also finished up a TON of sewing. Almost done with my costume, and completely done with Thomas’ three piece Halloween suit. Yes, he’s “Halloween” for Halloween. I also made him some dress shorts that are pretty amazing. Both the three piece suit and shorts were finished in a day - woot woot! Going to start making my own clothes soon (now that Thomas let me practice on him!).
We had a bit of a photo shoot in the living room with his shorts (and you get to share in the fun!). Photos of Halloween suit to come soon (later, when he comes home and I convince him to put on the whole get-up).
